Heenwerf Estate featured in the main news bulletin on 31 December 2025

During the morning of 31 December 2025, we received a call from Sarah at NOS Journaal with some questions about sparkling wine in the Netherlands and whether we happened to be open. We weren’t, but apart from a few errands, one of us was at home.

Three phone calls later, we had an appointment; shortly after midday, reporter Youssef Abjij would be dropping by to film a report for the 6.00 pm and 8.00 pm editions of NOS Journaal. The filming took an hour and a half and was edited down to a two-minute report shown during prime time on the last day of the year!

Absolutely, feel free to choose a Landgoed Heenwerf sparkling wine instead of champagne; you’ll be surprised by the quality. And Youssef and the cameraman Damien thought so too!

Heenwerf Estate is one of the three nominees in the GROW category of the Rabobank StartToGrow Awards!

The GROW AWARD recognises the BEST entrepreneur who has grown – or aims to grow – in terms of both quality and quantity, with a focus on innovation and sustainability and a vision for future growth.

During the preparation phase, StartToGrow’s partners and associates nominated companies and entrepreneurs for the longlist, whom they felt should be considered for an award. Based on our partners’ nominations and the jury’s initial selection, Landgoed Heenwerf was shortlisted. The awards ceremony took place on 26 November 2025 in Steenbergen. We did not ultimately win the Grow Award – that went to the wonderful third-generation family business Palletbedrijf van der Pol from Woensdrecht – but we did finish as runners-up for the People’s Choice Award. And we are proud of that!

We are big fans of this fun, interesting podcast and are delighted to have been ‘Culinary Friends’ in the episode that went live just before Christmas 2024, in which SVH Master Chef and Master Pastry Chef Rudolph van Veen chats with host Petra Possel about his culinary development, his work as a TV producer and his latest cookbook, Lekker Hollands. His participation in international cooking competitions is also discussed.

The founder and editor-in-chief is Nico Schipper. He is completely in his element in the world of communication and marketing. Writing is right up his street. Chef Ramon Brugman tries the unique Ratafia liqueur wine in Kruisland!

When programme producer M. Camp contacted us as winemakers to say he’d heard we make the best sparkling wine in the Netherlands and found out more about our story, there was no stopping him. Because, as he put it, we belonged on his programme! Filming took place in September 2024 during the grape harvest. The film crew spent a full day capturing the processes of harvesting, pressing and making the Ratafia liqueur wine, whilst also paying close attention to our story.

Perswijn Magazine is full of praise for our wines!

‘A promising newcomer’. ‘Fine wines’. These are the findings reported by PERSWIJN magazine, aimed at professionals and wine enthusiasts, after tasting our quality sparkling wines for their Dutch wine special. In issue #5, published in the summer of 2024, special attention was paid to Dutch wines. The tasting panel tasted more than 150 wines. Cuvée Prestige achieved the highest score of 15.5/20 in the sparkling wine category, whilst Cuvée Alliance and Cuvée OrRose both received an impressive 15/20.
