Bottling
Bottling is a team effort! Together with a team of enthusiastic volunteers, we bottle around a thousand bottles a day. We do the bottling ourselves at the Landgoed Heenwerf winery.
It is an intense task. Bottles are brought in, passed along, filled and finally sealed with a capsule and crown cap. Before they are stacked in a sort of iron basket, they are polished. After that, the wine can mature quietly and under controlled conditions on the yeast cells. Depending on the cuvée, this takes 9, 12, 24 or 60 months.
